When I started with Salukis over 40 years ago, I had the notion they should be beautiful show dogs—but more than that, athletic field dogs, intelligent companion dogs and full time family members. It may seem an old-fashioned idea these days, but I’m proud to have stuck with that ideal. Along the way Baha Salukis have boasted #1 or Top 10 Salukis in conformation, coursing, agility, obedience and rally, with National Specialty Best of Breed, Best in Show, Best in Field and High in Trial win- ners. Three of our dogs have been named the American Saluki Association Dog of the Year, awarded to the top show/coursing Saluki.
