BARKARITAVILLE 2021

strong lineup. On Thursday and Friday, the Weima- raner, GCHS Silhouettes Cast A Spell, was piloted to the top spot by Michelle Scott for breeder/owners Bruce and Cindy Cassidy. Saturday and Sunday also saw back- to-back wins by the Pug, GCH Riversong’s Playin at the Ritz, shown by Michael Scott and owned by Carolyn Koch. The Pug was the only dog to win his Group each day, with many of the Groups having a different win- ner each day. The Non-Sporting Group proved to be the most interesting as three different Standard Poodles won the Breed each day, and the Breed winner of the day also won the Group each evening. David Sombach was the photographer for the week- end and his themed backdrop with many fresh flowers was a bright and colorful place for the exhibitors to take win photos. The Licking River and Medina Clubs showed many people that these two clubs were willing to go the extra mile to provide a fun-filled show during difficult times. I know that I appreciate the effort, and I hope that no matter which site or date Barkaritaville 2022 is held, you will put it on your calendar. I also hope that any judge who is invited to officiate will try their best to accommodate the requests for island attire. Barkaritaville 2021 was a huge success, and I want to applaud and thank the members and volunteers of both the Medina and Licking River Kennel Clubs for their extraordinary efforts.
