ROYAL CANIN PET NUTRITION ANNOUNCES NEW EVENT VENUE PARTNERSHIP

R oyal Canin, a global dog and cat food brand, recent- ly unveiled a newly reno- vated global destination for dog and cat shows at The Roberts Centre in Wilmington, OH. The new venue, titled “Royal Canin Ring” is the most recent commitment to the sport of dogs; the company also sponsors some of the world’s largest dog shows, includ- ing the World Dog Show and the AKC National Championship. Royal Canin Ring is complemented by dedicated performance space: Eukanuba Field. The scalable indoor and outdoor space includes fencing, obedience and agility equipment to showcase extraordinary canine abilities. “The American Kennel Club and its 5,000 affiliated clubs hold over 20,000 events per year and appreciate a good venue,” said Doug Ljungren, Vice Presi- dent of Sports and Events at the AKC. “Royal Canin Ring and Eukanuba Field at the Roberts Centre have it all: a won- derful indoor facility for conformation and performance, a great outdoor loca- tion for sports that require that set- ting, convenient accommodations, easy access, a big parking lot and a knowl- edgeable staff. The American Kennel Club appreciates what Royal Canin and Eukanuba have done here and congratu- lates them on this wonderful facility!” Royal Canin Ring, formerly known as Eukanuba Hall, offers the prestige of a beautifully designed, yet functional, venue for conformation events for dogs. The indoor venue has more than 80,000 square feet of flexible space to sup- port a variety of conformation events, plus ample facilities for educational

seminars, banquets, grooming, vendor malls and more. Amenities provided to all hosted events include: • Specialized ring carpeting • Overhead, lit ring signage • Dressage-style ring gating • Official win photo area • Ring placement signs • Examination tables and ramps • Hot-water dog bathing facilities • Exhibitor gifts, prize pack- ages and customized signage (National Specialty shows only) “Royal Canin Ring is stunning,” said Gina DiNardo, Executive Secretary of the AKC. “Every detail from the ring setup and upscale signage to the red carpet contribute to the feeling of gran- deur you experience as soon as you step inside. This is an optimal venue for a National Specialty.” In addition to the first-rate ameni- ties for dog shows, The Roberts Centre caters nicely to their people as well. The attached Holiday Inn provides pet- friendly accommodations, on-site din- ing options and RV parking, including 26 all-new standard electric RV hook- ups available for rent. These on-site features allow competitors from around the world to visit and have all the neces- sities for their event in one place. The property is conveniently located in southwest Ohio in the town of Wilming- ton, less than 70 miles from three major airports: John Glenn Columbus Interna- tional, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International and Dayton International. A grand reopening ceremony took place on Thursday, September 14, 2017 and featured private tours for numer- ous Parent Clubs as well as local Breed,

All-Breed and Performance clubs. Fol- lowing the tours, a VIP reception and a special ribbon cutting ceremony were held.
