CONNIE H. CLARK AMERICAN HAIRLESS TERRIERS, AUSTRALIAN TERRIERS, BEDLINGTON TERRIERS, BORDER TERRIERS, MINIATURE BULL TERRIERS, SCOTTISH TERRIERS, SKYE TERRIERS

Hopefully, we will see these great numbers in entries again—if not higher numbers in 2024. I am looking forward to seeing the newer 2024 class of dogs/bitches take their place in the Breed and Group rankings and looking forward to who will be crowned Best of the Best. DR. JOYCE DANDRIDGE COTON DE TULEAR, BICHONS FRISES, CHOW CHOWS, BOSTON TERRIERS, KEESHONDEN BREEDERS,’ A TESTAMENT TO THEIR DEDICATION TO THE HEALTH AND WELFARE OF PRESENT AND FUTURE GENERATIONS.” “...THESE EXHIBITS REPRESENT GENERATIONS OF ‘PRESERVATION

1. What does it mean to be invited to judge at the AKC National Championship Presented by Royal Canin, the only all-breed show organized directly by the American Kennel Club? It is an honor indeed to be invited to adjudicate the many qual- ity exhibits that were entered at

this year’s AKC National Championship Presented by Royal Canin. The entry in Conformation was a grand total of 5,762 dogs, and with the addition of the Agility and Obedience com- petitions almost 10,000 dogs competed, making this the largest show in North America. 2. Can you share your thoughts on your various Breed assignments? Please be specific. This year’s Terrier Group was judged by Mr. “Red” Tatro and his Group 1st went to the Bedlington Terrier as well as Group 4th to the Scottish Terrier, both of whom were my Best of Breed winners. Both of these exhibits represent generations of “Preservation Breeders,” a testament to their dedication to the health and welfare of present and future generations. The AKC National Championship Show honors dedicated breed- ers with the Best Bred-By Exhibitor in Show competition and a cash prize of $15,000, which underscores the importance each one represents. 3. Now that it’s over, what are your thoughts on the 2022 show year? Any thoughts on the year ahead?

1. What does it mean to be invited to judge at the AKC National Championship Presented by Royal Canin, the only all-breed show organized directly by the American Kennel Club? It was a tremendous honor in 2023 to be invited to judge some breeds at the AKC Championship

Show (and the Westminster Kennel Club Show). These famous shows draw quality entries from around the world. I enjoyed the challenge of examining and forming an opinion at these events.
