LydiaHutchinsonofWolfpit Kennels has been instrumen- tal in starting us with some lovely dogs: Esther, Taylor and Berry. The change fromPoodles to Cairns was an interest- ing adventure. It was a joy to work with Joe Vernuccio of Ashwood Kennels, with whomwe co-bred Iris and shared bloodlines using Petie, Verner Sanders and Junior. We of- ten evaluated litters together and Joe kindly took Robin to Montgomery where he was Best of Winners. Judiciously breeding in and out of lines I really liked, I arrived at the point where I think I have a line of Cairns with lovely type, correct structure and lovable temperaments. Circling around, we recently had a dynamite litter by Ozzie, a dog withwhom I was impressed as a puppy that I judged at the Housatonic Sweeps. I finally got to use him and it was the best of decisions.
