The judge who awarded the win and who elevated the breed’s profile considerably among tried-and-true Terrier enthusiasts was none other than Peggy Beisel-McIlwaine. At this year’s event, Dr. John A. Reeve-Newson found his winner in yet another Rudzik-handled Am Staff, GCh. Roadhouse’s Life Of The Party CGCA CGCU RATN DN CA. Bred by William G. Roadhouse and Danny Casanova and owned by Mr. Roadhouse with Dave Berrey, the brindle and white dog stood proudly at the head of a final line-up that included many of the dog sport’s most devoted breeders and handlers. Second in the Group went to the Miniature Schnauzer, GCh. Allaruth Just Kidding V Sole Baye. Bred and owned by Yvonne B. Phelps and Ruth Zeigler, the crowd favorite was handled by Bergit Kabel and won the breed’s National Specialty on the day from the Veteran Dog class. Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Ch.
