A Survey on the Spirited AUSTRALIAN TERRIER

DIANA FENTON I live in Bundanoon, New South Wales, Australia. It is situated in the Southern High- lands, a beautiful part of Australia. I worked as a scientist in pathology and food technol- ogy when working full time. I went back to university to become a vocational education teacher and have taught adults at TAFE for the past 10 years. My first foray into show dogs was with a Collie Rough whilst still at school, in the mid 60s. I gained my first judging license (Gundogs) in 1982 then progressed to All Breeds. I have been a Championship judge since the 1970s and throughout my career I have been privileged to judge in all states of Australia, New Zealand (North and South Islands), US, UK, India, China and Finland. GLORIA GERINGER

JERRY KLEIN I live in Chicago. I am an emergency vet- erinarian and recent Chief Veterinary Office of the AKC. I love to cook, eat and used to like to travel, but less so in recent years. I also love music. I started in dogs with a Wire Fox Terrier as a birthday gift. I was 11 years old. I entered him at a local show when he was 2, so I guess my first show exhibiting was 1966. I got my license to judge Australian Terriers in 1995, first as provisional, then regular. VIRGINIA LYNE
