O ur show was held in honor of William "Bill" Russell, life member and Past President of our club. Bill was a loved and renowned dog show judge around the world and a mentor to many in our sport. We will miss him! RIP Bill, you will forever be our "Best in Show". We had over 1500 dogs entered, with total entries in the 1600's for both days. The show weekend kicked off with an educational seminar from Dr. Carmen Battaglia. WIKC hosted the event as a way to thank our dog community and exhibi- tors for all their support. Approximately 100 dog enthusiasts attended the seminar. As always, Dr. Battaglia was entertaining and educational. What a lovely weekend in the Pacific NW (with sun!!) We received many compli- ments from exhibitors who hadn't been to our show in the new Events Center. The only complaint from several: it was too sunny and hard to see the dogs! For those of you who aren't familiar with the PNW in the Fall, that is very funny as its more common to have sideways rain.
