MORRIS & ESSEX AND MONTGOMERY A PAIR OF CLASSICS AWAIT YOUR FUTURE

TWO DISTINGUISHED EVENTS WILL BE CELEBRATED IN OUR SEPTEMBER ISSUE The wait is over. This fall, the attention of the purebred dog world turns once again to the historic settings at two of America’s most acclaimed dog shows. On Wednesday, October 6, 2021, the Morris & Essex Kennel Club will host its fifth all-breed show of the modern era on the broad lawns of Colonial Park in Somerset, New Jersey. The entry at one of the year’s most anticipated shows is expected to draw 4,455 dogs—a total that is precisely one dog less than the record entry established in 1939. The legacy of Mrs. Geraldine Rockefeller Dodge’s dedication to the sport of purebred dogs will be honored by visitors from around the world in the style of a bygone era, when herringbone and houndstooth paired comfortably with horn & hound. On Sunday, October 10, 2021, the Montgomery County Kennel Club will welcome Airedale Admirers, Kerry Blue Conservators, and Sealyham Supporters to a novel location in Macungie Memorial Park in Macungie, Pennsylvania. The hamlet’s charming community park will join the list of a dozen unique sites to have hosted what is considered by many to be one of the sport’s most revered competitions. This All-Terrier show draws an international panel of judges and exhibitors, and is a must-attend event for anyone who appreciates type, talent, and tenacity.
