INAUGURAL PUPPY STAKES IS A RESOUNDING SUCCESS For the first time ever, the AKC National Championship played host to the AKC Royal Canin National All-Breed Puppy and Junior Stakes. An impressive panel sorted its way through a passel of gorgeous pups, including Dr Carmen L Battaglia, Mrs Judi Bendt, Ms Pamela Bruce, Mrs Delores Burkholder, Mrs Roberta C Davies, Dr Thomas M Davies, Ms Maureen A Day, Ms Marcie S Dobkin, Ms Kathy A Forbes, Mrs Paula Hartinger, Mr Roger R Hartinger, Mr Douglas A Johnson, Dr Steve Keating, Dr Kenneth H Levison, Mrs Cindy Meyer, Mr Desmond J Murphy, Mrs Patti Widick Neale, Dr Geno Sisneros, Mrs Cindy Stansell, Mr William C Stebbins, Mrs Helen Winski Stein, Mrs Linda Tilka, and Mr. Eugene Z Zaphiris. So successful was the event that many judges had to be added to the original panel due to the large entry.
