1. What does it mean to be invited to judge at the AKC National Championship Presented by Royal Canin, the only all-breed show organized directly by the American Kennel Club? An invitation to judge such a pres- tigious show is both an honor and a validation of one’s judgment. The

gree dog owners who participate at this magnificent AKC Na- tional Championship Presented by Royal Canin my thoughts on being invited as part of the most prestigious AKC dog show in the world. It was, for me, a great honor to judge shows on four days, with many excellent dogs in the breeds I judged; like Cane Corso, Vizslas, and the excellent Maltese specialty show, the Black Russian Terriers and Russell Terriers, etc. I really ap- preciate the invitation to participate in the selection of many wonderful dogs. 2. Can you share your thoughts on your various Breed as- signments? Please be specific. I loved every breed; perfectly groomed and with excellent han- dlers and owner-handlers who presented them very profession- ally. I also want to thank all the exhibitors for giving me the opportunity of going over each marvelous dog that was in the

dogs presented here were essentially the best of the best. 2. Can you share your thoughts on your various Breed as- signments? Please be specific. I judged both varieties of Chihuahuas and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. The depth of quality among the class entries and specials was phenomenal. The great thing about these en- tries was that it enabled me to make decisions based on the fin- est of points in each Breed Standard. 3. Now that it’s over, what are your thoughts on the 2023 show year? Any thoughts on the year ahead? This show celebrated both dogs as well as their dedicated breed- ers. Seeing these great dogs leaves me with great hope for the sport in 2024.
